DYNAMIC MONITORING ABOUT LAND USE IN THE URBAN FRINGE AREA BASED ON THE REMOTE SENSE

Abstract:In the structure of urban area, urban fringe lies in transitional region between urban and rural. It is the fragile area of environment and also the joint area of human factors, and shows the rapid and unsteady charactors in different time and space. Finding out the changing situation of urban marginal region's land use timely will be benificial to the urban planning's relization, landuse structure's readjustment and sustainable development's realization. Taking land sat TM as basic information resource and Coreldraw and ARC/INFO as main supporting software, this paper achieves the dynamic monitoring and analysis of urban fringe land use from 1987 to 1996 in the experiment area. At the same time, this technical ways can be used to take informations of urban marginal region's land use effectively according to its short worktime, few error accumulation and high rate of determination and location.
